Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today inaugurated a 10-day long 24th Industrial trade fair 'Canvas India' at Gopal Maidan here.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Munda appreciated the organisers for organising such trade fair, which provided an appropriate platform and opportunity for medium and small industries to promote their products.
Accompanied by Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president, Suresh Sonthalia, Munda also visited stalls and encouraged the participants.
Later, Sonthalia told reporters that industries including IT, automobile, electronics, builders and telecom were taking part in the fair organised by the SCCI and Canvas India.
Sonthalia said SCCI would provide stalls to self-help groups involved in women empowerment activities and also to manufacturers and traders dealing in appliances meant for physically impaired persons.
