The foreign and domestic tourist arrivals in the state has escalated by 6.23 per cent and 5.67 per cent respectively compared to the previous year, he said. The state government, which will soon come with a new tourism policy, is giving more thrust to tourism infrastructure, Tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran said. The hilly Munnar town in Idukki district is famous for its romantic cottages, cloudy mountains, lively tea gardens, green valleys and waterfalls.
