Murder accused held for illegally keeping guns

A murder accused, out on bail, was today arrested for illegally keeping two country made guns at his house, near here, police said.
Police, investigating a case in which Rs 3.5 lakh worth of goods were stolen from a shop at Samayanallur two days ago, visited the man Saravanan's house to question him about the theft and found the guns kept inside.
Saravanan told the police team that he was keeping the guns for his security, police said, adding, the guns were seized and he was arrested.
Police said Saravanan was a graduate and he was out on bail in connection with two cases against him for murdering his aunt and grand-mother.
