Murder bid accused re-arrested after escape from custody

An accused who was in police custody after being charged with attempt to murder, escaped today but was re-arrested shortly, a police official said.
Sanjay Premlal (24) dodged a policeman under the pretext of going to relieve himself and escaped from Rajendra Nagar police station of the city.
Immediately after this, the police fanned out and rounded up Sanjay at Mahavar Nagar, city Superintendent of Police R S Ghuraiya told PTI.
He said that the accused is a history sheeter from Annapurna region of the city adding that he was arrested a day before in a case of attempt to murder.

His escape from police custody is being probed.
