Murder witness attacked inside Karkardooma court

A murder witness was today allegedly attacked by the accused in the case inside Karkardooma court complex in East Delhi, police said.
As per police, the victim, identified as Tahir, was witness to the murder of one Ibrahim which took place a year ago in MS Park area. He was killed by six men who were later arrested and sent to jail while the case is under trial.
After hearing in case, when everybody was coming out of the court, the accused somehow freed themselves from the policemen and attacked Tahir, a police official said.
Eyewitnesses said the victim had to take shelter inside the room of a judge to save himself.

Policemen soon caught hold of the assailants and took them away. The victim was provided medical assistance at a nearby hospital.
Police said a case in this regard has been registered at Farsh Bazar police station under sections of assault and intimidating a witness.
