Sidhu, who held a meeting with eminent personalities and intellectuals from Punjab's literary, cultural and film spheres, also said a museum on partition of the country has been built at the Town Hall in Amritsar.
The museum dedicated to the dying folk arts, musical instruments and articles would come up in Amritsar, the tourism and cultural minister said in an official release.
He said an art gallery would also be established where traditional Punjabi items would be kept for purchase by as souvenirs by tourists. Similarly, a food street having tasty Punjabi cuisine would also come up, he said.
Sidhu said he would request Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to chalk out a strategy for launching a campaign for the prosperity of the Punjabi language.

He said the government would give financial assistance to institutions devoted to the propagation of Punjabi literature, culture and music.
The meeting also saw a consensus being reached on implementing a single window system for facilitating film shootings in the state.
Similarly, deliberations were also held on constituting Punjab Film Development Corporation on the pattern of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
