Music album of Tamil film 'Ramanujan' released

Music album of the Tamil period film 'Ramanujan', which traces the life of the noted mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, was launched here today.
The songs of the film, directed by national-award winner Gnana Rajasekaran and composed by Ramesh Vinayagam was released by a FM radio, a press release here said.
"The music director used no modern instruments and made sure all the olden type instruments were used in order to bring the period alive", it said.
The eight songs -- Thuli Thuliyay version one, Thuli Thuliyay version two, Narayana (a song set at the Sarangapani Temple, Kumbakonam), Vinkadantha (penned by Thirumazhisai Alvar 1,000 years ago), The Ramanujan Theme, English notes, mystic mind and one-to-zero were released on the occasion.
"My music tries to delve into the unfathomable mysterious and mystical mind of Ramanujan in its own world, which invariably found bliss in the triumph of originating newer and newer theorems. The music represents the tribulations of Ramanujan's Life torn between hope and despair and the loneliness that came along with the genius", Vinayakam said.
The songs have been recorded at Bauer Studio, Frankfurt, Germany, it said.

"We have recorded with a live orchestra in Germany and used unique Indian instruments. One would be able to appreciate the music better when hearing its high quality", he said.
Camphor Cinema has produced the movie and the songs were sung by Ramesh Vinayakam, Unni Krishnan, Vani Jayaram and Karthik Suresh.
Abhinay Vaddi plays the role of 'Ramanujan' in the movie which also has Actress Bhama, Suhasini Maniratnam, British stage and screen actor Kevin McGowan, Abbas, Nizhalgal Ravi, 'Delhi' Ganesh, Y Gee Mahendra and British actors Michael Lieber, Richard Walsh, the release said.
