Dev-starrer 'Buno Haansh' music director Shantanu Moitra feels camera can't go beyond a boundary in films despite creating visual magic.
The melody magician in Saif Ali Khan-Vidya Balan-starrer Parineeta says, "Camera can't read the mind of the characters, it can't describe what goes on in my head. And music steps in where camera fails to tread (communicate)."
Buno Haanash brings alive four mega cities in Asia - Kolkata, Dhaka, Bangkok and Mumbai - which are so dissimilar outwardly in one way or other but are peopled by characters who share the same fate of discontentment. Not one single story reaches its end but the journey never ends," the '3 Idiots' tune-man said.
Shantanu, having created lyrical sound scape in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's previous film Aparajita Tumi, said the track "Zindagi Kahin Bhi Thamti Nahi' by Srijato in Buno Haansh was a constant reminder about the philosophy of the film and what he just said, i.E. Despite discontentment or non-fulfilment wishes never die and Life goes on.
"I think we all had come across such youths like Amol - from middle class background, simple, honest yet ambitious, - and falling prey to life's murkier and complex games," he said about the film, produced by Reliance Entertainment.
Tanusree, who has mostly shared screen space with Dev in 'Buno Haansh', said there was a reference point in the director's brief for her character and Dev had perfected the art of brooding acting with his wish to learn and dedication.
"It is a false notion that a mainstream genre actor, a superstar like Dev, can't do realistic roles," Tanushree, having bowled over the critics with her role in Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay's Uro Chithi, said.
