With the majestic Qutub Minar as its backdrop, a three-part monthly series will bring together different traditions of Indian music on full moon nights here.
'Under the Banyan Tree on A Full Moon Night' will mark the advent of the full moon in the months of April, May and June, respectively, starting from April 29 at 1AQ, near Qutub Minar.
Organised by Teamwork Arts, the music concert will open with sitarist Azeem Ahmed Alvi, Hindustani classical vocalist Ujwal Nagar, and Sufi qawwals Qutbi Brothers representing the vibrancy and richness of Indian musical tradition.
With a poetic blend of moonlight and music, music aficionados of the city will be able to enjoy Baithak-style evenings along with an intimate experience with the like-minded and an opportunity to engage with the musicians as well.
"Each time we put together a programme, our endeavour is to bring before the enthusiasts once-in-a-lifetime experiences, that they may cherish eternally. Our team's expertise in designing a particular event includes a deep understanding and appreciation for the arts and artistes, the minutiae of what makes an incomparable experience as well as the pulse of the audience," Sanjoy Roy, managing director- Teamwork Arts, said.
