Muslim parties clash in Sri Lanka

AMM Harees and Hasan Ali both legislators of the main Muslim party, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) said their convoy on the campaign trail came under attack yesterday at Akkaraipattu area from the supporters of National Congress led by the minister of local government ALM Athaullah.

Earlier, the ruling party has criticised the SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem, who is also the justice minister in the central government for running a communal campaign in the Muslim dominated areas in the east.
