"Deliver justice to Muslims of the state otherwise the Congress will be opposed in the forthcoming assembly and parliamentary elections," Bhatt said while participating at a sit-in protest organised by Uttar Pradesh-based organisation 'Forum for Muslim Studies and Analysis' (FMSA) here.
He alleged that the government had failed to take any action and did not deliver justice to the community after some communal incidents had occurred in the state.
"Congress was the symbol of composite culture but since last few years the Congress government is forgetting the concept of secularism," he said.
Rajya Sabha MP Mohammad Adeeb raised the issue of security of Muslim youths, saying that often these young men were targeted in the name of terrorism and later were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
"Courts released them after years in absence of any evidence but in the meantime, they lose their prime young years. Who will compensate them?" he questioned.
"Terrorism should be fought but not in a selective way and such one-sided action to target innocent youths must be discontinued in national interest," he said.
Jasim Mohammad, secretary of FMSA, said a fifteen point demand memorandum will be submitted to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan on the matter.
