Mustard, cottonseed oils rise as local demand picks up

Prices of mustard and cottonseed oils rose by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of pick-up in local demand.
However, non-edible oils held steady in scattered deals.
Traders said pick-up in local demand mainly led to rise in mustard and cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri)and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,550 and Rs 6,350 per quintal respectively.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,160-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,600, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,700, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,450, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,550, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,350, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,850, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,500, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,700-1,750.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,550, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,500-9,600, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
