Prices of mustard and cottonseed oils fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on mustard and cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,200 and Rs 6,100 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
