Prices of mustard and groundnut oils rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet the rising demand.
However, other edible and non-edible oils, after moving in a tight range on scattered demand, settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists on rising demand led to the gain in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) and groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,600 and Rs 7,100 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
