Mustard oil strengthens on local demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Mustard oil prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased demand from local parties amid restricted activity.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to move in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from local parties against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept mustard oil higher.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil advanced by Rs 50 to Rs 7,150 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 960-1,130.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,850, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,150, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,200- 1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,200, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,400, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,850, Palmolein (RBD) 5,650, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,450 and Coconut (per tin) 2,550-2,575.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,150, Castor 9,550-9,650, Neem 5,350-5,450.
