Marketmen said rising demand from millers in the spot markets, mainly influenced mustard seed prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustard seed delivery for first delivery in April rose by Rs 55, or 1.40 per cent to Rs 3,977 per quintal, having an open interest of 43,660 lots.
On similar lines, delivery in far-month May rose higher by Rs 48, or 1.21 per cent to Rs 4,021 per quintal, open interest depicted of 12,280 lots.
