Prices of mustard and sesame oils fell up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand against sufficient supplies.
In the non-edible section, castor oil also eased on reduced industrial offtake.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on mustard and sesame oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) and sesame mill delivery oil were down by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 7,250 and Rs 8,300 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edibles, castor oil also traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 9,600-9,700 per quintal.
