Marketmen said offloading of positions and a weak trend at the spot markets due to slackened demand mainly put pressure on mustardseed prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for most-activ delivery in December month fell by Rs 72, or 1.50 per cent to Rs 4,733 per quintal in an open interest of 45,590 lots.
Also, delivery in January next month was trading Rs 63, or 1.28 per cent down at Rs 4,850 per quintal, open interest stood of 17,600 lots.
