Marketmen said, fresh positions created by participants, tracking a firm trend at the physical markets, mainly influenced mustardseed prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 38 or 0.97 per cent, to Rs 3,965 per quintal, showing an open interest of 25,110 lots.
In a similar fashion, mustardseed for April delivery advanced by Rs 32, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 3,915 per quintal, open interest stood at 33,680 lots.
