At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in contract September month contracts was trading higher by Rs 18 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 4,893 per quintal, in an open interest of 49,800 lots.
On similar lines, the most-active delivery in August month moved up by Rs 16 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 4,822 per quintal, with an open interest of 75,330 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in mustardseed prices at futures trade to a firm trend at the domestic spot markets on a pick up in demand amid fall in supplies from growing regions.
