Mustardseed futures up by Rs 28 per quintal

Mustardseed prices were up by Rs 28 to Rs 3,941 per quintal in futures trading today after speculators raised their bets at prevailing lower levels.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustardseed delivery for April gained Rs 28, or 0.72 per cent to Rs 3,941 per quintal, in an open interest of 63,350 lots.
On similar lines, delivery in May advanced by Rs 27, or 0.68 per cent to Rs 3,981 per quintal, with an open interest of 18,870 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions built up by speculators mainly influenced mustardseed futures here.
