At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in January was trading higher by Rs 26, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 4,826 per quintal, showing an open interest of 36,200 lots.
In a similar fashion, delivery in current month rose by Rs 20, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 4,798 per quintal, with a business turnover of 23,240 lots.
Marketmen said enlarging of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend at the spot markets on pick up in demand against restricted arrivals, mainly attributed the rise in mustardseed prices at futures trade.
