Amid profit-booking by speculators, mustardseed prices fell by Rs 16 to Rs 3,875 per quintal in futures trading today.
Besides, a weak trend at the spot markets on muted demand weighed on prices.
Marketmen said profit-booking by participants at current levels and a weak trend at the spot markets mainly pulled down mustardseed prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in April slipped by Rs 16, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 3,875 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 37,380 lots.
Mustardseed for delivery in May also lost Rs 13, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 3,927 per quintal, in an open interest of 26,110 lots.
