At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April month tumbled by Rs 94, or 2.10 per cent to Rs 4,384 per quintal with an open interest of 29,150 lots.
On similar lines, the commodity for delivery in far-month May contracts dropped by Rs 85 or 1.88 per cent to Rs 4,447 per quintal in 18,410 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in chana prices at futures trade to low demand in the spot market against ample stocks on higher supplies from producing regions.
