Aluminium prices drifted lower by 0.23 per cent to Rs 130.85 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposure amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March shed 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 130.85 per kg in business turnover of 251 lots.
In a similar fashion, the metal for delivery in April was trading lower by 25 paise, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 132.30 per kg in 115 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to decline in demand from consuming industries in the physical market helped aluminium futures trade lower.
