Coriander prices fell by 2.74 per cent to close at Rs 4,365 a quintal in futures market today as participants cut down their positions amid muted domestic as well as export demand against ample stocks position.
Higher supplies from major growing regions also influenced coriander futures.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander prices for delivery this month declined by Rs 123, or 2.74 per cent, to close at Rs 4,365 per quintal, with an open interest of 510 lots.
On similar lines, the spice for November delivery was trading lower by Rs 73, or 1.48 per cent, to end at Rs 4,866 per quintal in 27,200 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in coriander futures to subdued demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions.
