Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.50 per cent to Rs 721.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their positions, driven by easing demand in the spot market against ample stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February moved down by Rs 3.65, or 0.50 per cent to Rs 721.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 39,020 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January shed 50 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 732.50 per 10 kg in 4,750 lots.
Analysts said, trimming of positions by participants amid sluggish demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
