Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.13 per cent to Rs 643.30 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders cut down bets, driven by slackened demand at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August shed 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 643.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 59,650 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in September was trading lower by 50 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 647.95 per 10 kg in 17,940 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
