Refined soya oil prices softened by 0.41 per cent to Rs 720.35 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January fell by Rs 3, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 720.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 56,290 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December contracts shed 70 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 723.40 per 10 kg in 12,740 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by traders amid decline in demand at the spot market against ample stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
