Muted demand drags down refined soya oil futures by 0.73%

Amid subdued domestic demand at spot market and adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil traded lower by 0.73 per cent to Rs 628.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month April drifted by Rs 4.65, or 0.73 per cent to Rs 628.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 62,260 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 2.65, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 624.40 per 10 kg in 61,170 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to low demand at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
