Muthoot Exim announces discounts on BIS-hallmarked gold jewels

Muthoot Exim, the precious metals division of the second largest gold loan player Muthoot Pappachan Group, has announced special discounts for its BIS-hallmarked gold jewellery and 999 silver bars and articles on the eve of Akshaya Tritiya.
As part of the festive discount scheme, the company will offer its Swarnavarsham jewellery products 4 per cent discount for one month scheme and 2 per cent discount for EMI purchases of three, six, and nine months. The company has also announced a 2 per cent discount for its Swethavarsham Silver bars and articles.
The discount offer will be valid for all bookings made at all the 3,800 Muthoot Fincorp branches across the country from May 4 to 14.

Vodafone launches new offering targeted at youth
Country's second biggest telcom operator Vodafone today launched a proposition exclusively for the youth between 18 and 24, targeting a potential user base of over 200 million in the country.

Punjab Chemicals subsidiary settle dues with SBI
* Punjab Chemicals today said its foreign subsidiary SD Agchem (Europe) has settled its total USD 2.66 million dues with SBI Antwerp for compromise amount of USD 1.85 million.
The compromise amount would be paid by the foreign subsidiary in installments upto December 8 on various terms and conditions, Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection said in a regulatory filing.
"..SD Agchem (Europe) NV ("SD Agchem"), has entered into one time settlement with State Bank of India, Antwerp for settling its total dues of USD 2.66 mio (million) in respect of the restructured facilities availed by the aforesaid subsidiary of the company for compromise amount of USD 1.850 mio..," the filing added.

PowerGrid board approve investments of Rs 19K Crore * State-run Power Grid Corp's board has approved total investments of Rs 19,176.18 crore which include Rs 14,733.37 crore HVDC transmission line from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh to Pugalur in Tamil Nadu.
The board has also approved Rs 3,519.59 crore for Green Energy Corridor Inter-State Transmission System- Part D, in its meeting held on May 5, 2016 as per a BSE filing by the company.
These investments also include Rs 766.21 crore for Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme-XI and Rs 167.01 crore for Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme-XIV.

RWDI establishes establishes wid tunnel facility
Thiruvananthapuram: The wind engineering consultants Rowan Williams Davies & Irwin Inc (RWDI), who designed and helped in aerodynamic shaping of the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa, has established their new wind tunnel facility here.
The newly set up tunnel is the company's fifth wind tunnel facility with the other four in Canada and UK and the first of its kind in the private sector in the whole of Indian-subcontinent, a release said here.
The wind tunnel was inaugurated by Prof S Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
