The 26-year-old designer, daughter of actress Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards, who considers youth her target audience, says her unconventional and bohemian style finds place in everything she designs.
"I am known for my quirkiness, so it is always there in whatever I do, be ethnic wear or shower gels. It is a constant in all my collections," Masaba said.
"The exit was bound to happen as my contract had come to an end and I felt I did not have anything new to offer to them and vice versa. So, I thought let's move away," she said.
Masaba, who will be working as the creative director of an ethnic wear label Anouk for Myntra, says unlike her previous association, this time she will help the brand create an image.

"I will be the face of the brand, as it is people will see me in all the campaigns, unlike when I worked with Satya Paul because it is a 30-year-old label. But I find creating a new image easy than contributing to something which is well-etched in people's mind. I am thrilled with my new venture," she said.
"Clothes online have to be easy pickups. One cannot experiment much while creating clothes for internet users because people will not buy what they can't touch and feel. I will make something which is easy to buy because the online shoppers are mostly girls of my age, who shop in between office work and lunch breaks," the designer said.
Masaba has also designed for Fiama Di Wills new shower gels
on a theme of different gem stones.
"When I was approached for this my reaction was what am I going to do with shower gels but luckily I just had to do packaging. I added my prints to the product. The gels are themed around particular gem stones, so I did colours and designs according to it," she said.
"I have done a lot of embroidery, for the first time. The collection will also have black and white colours because I love diamonds and motifs of zodiac signs which go with the particular gem stones," Masaba said.
