Myanmarese soldiers detained for entering Indian territory

The Myanmarese soldiers entered into Zilhriphai near Ngur village in Mizoram's Champhai district yesterday with arms and were allegedly intimidating a farmer from whom they asked for one lakh Kyat (Myanmarese currency) when they were detained by the Assam Rifles personnel, the sources said.

The Myanmarese soldiers were carrying one AK-47 assault rifle with a magazine and a mobile phone, they said .

The detained Myanmarese soldiers were handed over to the Champhai Police Station by the Assam Rifles personnel, the sources added.
