Mysuru court blast similar to explosions in Ker, AP: Police

Karnataka police have found similaritiesbetween the low intensity explosion that rocked a court premisein Mysuru recently and explosions that took place in Keralaand Andhra Pradesh earlier.
Similarities have been found between the blasts that occurred in Chittoor of Andhra Pradesh in April, Kollam of Kerala in June and now in Mysuru, Director General of Police (Internal Security) Neelamani N Raju told a meeting chairedby Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here today.
Briefing the Chief Minister, who returned towork after the death of his son last week, she saidin all the three incidents pressure cookers were used andthere was professionalism in the way the blasts had been carried out.
Sharing the details of the meeting attendedby state Home Minister Parameshwara, Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav and other senior officials, an official release said no organisation had claimed responsibility for the Mysuru blast sofar.
On August 1, the blast inside the toilet of the Mysuru court premises had caused panic among lawyers and litigants, and hadleft at least two persons injured. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also lookinginto the case.
Officials suspect that the intention of the blast was to create an atmosphere of terror.
They said as the security was tight in Bengaluru, a city like Mysuru was chosen for carrying outthe blast.
Neelamani also informed the Chief Minister that investigatorswere looking into all angles and efforts were on to solve the case atthe earliest.
