According to a statement issued by Mytrah, the partnership will focus on areas of product development, research, technical support as well as training and development.
"The MoU includes software and hardware development, faculty consultancy projects and fellowship for students working on the joint projects. As part of this collaboration, joint initiatives pertaining to big data analytics, condition monitoring and foundation analysis for wind turbines would be pursued further," it said.
G Sundar, Director, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus said, with increasing demand for renewable energy resources, there is an urgent need to foster intellectual potential well- equipped with knowledge base and synchronised with changing global energy needs.
Vikram Kailas, MD and CEO, Mytrah Energy said, industry-academia collaboration is critical for a technology leap in renewable energy in India and globally the wind industry has accelerated big data usage and India, too, needs to move swiftly in the same direction for efficient, cost-effective and smarter solution offering.
