Naam Tamizhar Katchi activists arrested

Police arrested twentyseven members of Naam Tamizhar Katchi when they made attempt to burn the effigy of Rahul Gandhi protesting against his opposition for release of seven life convicts involved in the assasinationof his father Rajiv Gandhi.
The protesters condemned Congress party, Central governmentand Rahul Gandhi for opposing Tamil Nadu decision to release the convicts, police said.
Police foiled the attempt to burn Rahul's effigy.
