Punjab Police is coordinating with security agencies of Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, to arrest the remaining five prisoners who escaped from Nabha prison in a sensational jailbreak case, officials said today.
"We are on our job to nab them as soon as possible," an officer said, adding raids were being conducted at the possible hideouts of the escapees.
The security has been tightened in and around prisons of the state and surveillance enhanced, police said.
Security agencies yesterday arrested chief of Khalistan Liberation Front militant outfit Harminder Singh Mintoo from Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi while Parminder Singh Pinda was arrested on November 27 in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, few hours after the daring act.
Two close aides of Pinda were arrested in Uttarakhand yesterday.
On Sunday, Mintoo along with Kashmir Singh, two terrorists, and gangsters - Amandeep Dhothian, Vicky Gounder, Gurpreet Sekhon and Neeta Deol - were freed by a group of armed men, believed to be 10-12 in number, who stormed the high security jail at Nabha in Patiala district.

Investigations by the Punjab police revealed that gangster Gurpeet Sekhon, who also escaped on Sunday, was the alleged mastermind behind the daring act.
Pinda and gangster Prema Lahoria executed the plan to give shape to the Nabha jailbreak, officials said.
"Harminder Mintoo was not the mastermind behind the jailbreak," an official said.
However, police claimed that Mintoo was in touch with terror groups in Pakistan.
Punjab police also suspects the involvement of jail officials in the act, officials said.
Police had booked 29 people, including nine jail officials under relevant sections of IPC, they said.
