Nagaland today joined the rest of the country in celebrating the 4th International Day of Yoga by holding a series of programmes by government departments, security forces and educational institutions.
The main event was held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, near here, where Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution C R Chaudhury along with Governor P B Acharya and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton led the gathering in a breathing exercise and guided meditation.
In his message, Governor Acharya said that Yoga embodied unity of mind and body and promoted harmony among the people and nature. It was a holistic approach towards good health and happiness.
