Acharya said he was encouraged by the statement of NSCN(IM), issued on June 7 last, calling upon all Naga people to be prepared for final solution, while acknowledging that a strong foundation has been laid with the signing of the framework agreement.
He said this while interacting with media persons in Dimapur yesterday, a statement issued by Directorate of Information Public Relations said here today.
Meanwhile, describing Yoga has an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition which embodies holistic approach to health and well-being, Acharya appealed to all sections of the society to participate in the International Day of Yoga 2016.
On the education front, the Governor viewed education as a social responsibility and said that people managing the educational institution should not be commercial minded but take it as a mission.
"To strengthen the society, education is the most important pillar," he said.
On alleged rampant corruption, backdoor appointments in government departments and irregularities in implementation of schemes, Acharya said there is a need to "suitably" strengthen the Vigilance Commission and urged the State government to immediately enact and appoint Lokayukta.
