Chief Minister TR Zeliang in the presence of Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo told reporters a decision was taken today in the follow-up to the consensus of the five-point resolution on July 27 last which had reiterated the earlier resolutions of Nagaland Legislative Assembly in 1964, 1970, 1994 and 2003 and urged the Centre to act on it.
The consultative meeting today was participated by apex bodies' Forum for Naga Reconciliation, Naga Hoho, Eastern Naga Peoples' Organisation, Naga Mothers' Association, Naga Students' Federation and the organisations of the fourteen Naga tribes.
The House also urged the Centre and the NSCN(K) to resume the ceasefire agreement to create a more peaceful and congenial atmosphere for the smooth progress of the Naga political dialogue and called upon the Centre to withdraw the declaration of the whole of state as disturbed area under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958.
The House urged all Naga Nationalist groups and civil societies to unite and work for the early settlement of the Naga political issue so that permanent peace reigned in the land.

The CM added that the endorsement of the civil societies is an indication that people by and large want peace and development.
Such interface meetings will have the Interlocutor and the Naga political group to understand the minds of the people, he said.
The CM also asserted that unity and solution should go together so that Naga people can achieve economic independence.
"We strongly believe that if we move on this path, solution will be achieved," he said adding that "we will work for unity while process for solution will also continue.
