Nagaland guv's copter lands in village school

A helicopter carrying Nagaland Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya, who also holds additional charge of Tripura, today landed in a village school ground in Khowai district, about 45 km from here, due to inclement weather.
The governor was coming from Nagaland by helicopter and was to land at Agartala airport. "The pilot decided to land at Bairagipara school ground in Kalyanpur area due to inclement weather," Inspector General of Police, Nepal Das told PTI.
The incident occurred at around 12.30 PM and the governor is safe, he said.
Police and civil administration staff rushed to the spot and took Acharya to the guest house in Khowai town from where he reached to Rajbhavan here by road, Das added.
Acharya had taken over the additional charge of Tripura on July 21.
