Nagaland Home Minister Y Patton today criticised state Governor P B Acharya for his statements in the media alleging that the present government in the state is corrupt.
During the NPF Central Executive Council meeting, Home Minister Y Patton said since the Governor's opinion was against the functioning of the present government, how would he be able to address the Assembly saying "my government is corrupt".
Alleging that Raj Bhavan was becoming a place for RSS and BJP, he said before things become too serious Naga People's Front (NPF) leaders should have interactions with the Governor.
He also asked BJP to remember that the party was surviving in the state because of NPF.
The NPF is the major party in the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland that is ruling the state since 2003. BJP is a partner in the alliance.
Minister for PWD (National Highway) Nuklutoshi too criticised the Governor during the meeting.
"The Governor should not be allowed to go to villages without invitation and check implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, specially MGNREGA and Mid Day Meal," he said.
