The tea garden remained non-functional for the past nine months with unpaid dues to about 3,000 workers, trade union leaders said.
A representative of the tea garden management met the Mal Sub-division Officer (SDO) Jyotirmoy Tanti last evening and conveyed its decision to withdraw the closure notice served in the morning.
Tanti said the management claimed that they had to put up the closure notice of the tea garden in Jalpaiguri district "under pressure" from the workers.
