"The idea is to know the facts (related to damages to crops). PM had recently ordered that at least one-third damage is enough for compensation. Earlier, compensation used to be given only if there is 50 per cent damage. Centre now gives Rs 4 lakh in the case of death. The state government gives in addition to that," Naidu, who visited Nalgonda district, said.
The district Collector, Revenue Divisional Officer and other officials would visit the villages to enumerate the damages, he said.
He was told that crops in about one lakh acres were hit by the unseasonal rains in the last few days.
At least three persons were killed in different rain- related incidents in Telangana in the last few days.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who held a review on the situation arising out of the rains two days ago, announced payment of financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of those killed in rain-related incidents.
A BJP release said here yesterday that BJP MLAs, MLCs and other leaders would inspect the rain-hit areas this week and submit reports to the state and Centre.
