Naidu to inaugurate conference on urban transport in Hyderabad

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be inaugurating the three-day conference on urban transport challenges and solutions here tomorrow.
According to an official release, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri will deliver the inaugural address.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao too would be attending the event.
About 1,000 policy makers including mayors and municipal councillors from the five southern states will be attending the event.
Besides, them administrators, urban planners, researchers and technology and service providers from over 20 Indian states and foreign countries will converge in Hyderabad to discuss issues, challenges and solutions related to transport and mobility in cities and towns, the release said.
Two special sessions for mayors and municipal councillors from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, on inclusive and sustainable and intelligent mobility will be held during the conference, it further said.
As many as 60 plenary, special and technical sessions will be held during the three days on intelligent transport solutions, inclusive urban transport and sustainable urban transport planning, it added.
