Naik asks varsities about exam schedule

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik has asked all the state universities about the examination schedule for the academic year 2014-15, latest by the first week of March.
The Governor, who is the Chancellor of all the state universities, has asked that by what time the varsities will hold the examination and declare the results, an official spokesman said here today.
Naik has directed them to declare the results on time.
Stressing on maintaining the sanctity of the examinations and ensuring all necessary steps to check use of unfair means, the Governor has warned strict action against examination center and staff, if found abetting mass copying.

He has directed the varsities to take assistance of the district administration for flying squads to check copying and preventing mistakes in issuing admit cards.
Earlier, Naik had held a meeting of vice-chancellors and registrars on January 5.
