Najib Shah likely to be appointed as new CBEC Chairman

Senior IRS officer Najib Shah is likely to take over as Chairman of Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), official sources said today.
Shah is likely to take over the position from Kaushal Srivastava who is retiring on June 30, they added.
Shah, a 1979 batch IRS officer and former Director General of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had joined CBEC last month as a member.
CBEC consists of a chairperson and maximum of six members.
