Nalco to support erection of Amar Jyoti Stambha

To commemorate 200 years of the historic Paika rebellion in Odisha a century ago against the British rule, NALCO will support erection of an 'Amar Jyoti Stambha' at Khurda.
NALCO CMD T K Chand, who was speakignas the chief guest at 16th Khurda Mahotsav, said constructing a monument like 'Amar Jyoti Stambha' would help the present generation to take pride in the glory and bravery of Paikas (ancient soldiers) and kindle patriotism in the new generation.
The rebellion took place in 1917.
Chand was felicitated on the occasion with 'Khurda Samman'.
