Nalgonda hottest in Telangana, showers likely at some places

Nalgonda in Telangana today sizzled at 42 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in the state, even as a few other towns saw a fall in mercury levels.
Nalgonda was followed by Ramagundam (41 degrees) and Adilabad (40.5 degrees), according to the India Meteorological Department.
"Appreciable rise in maximum temperatures at one or two places over Telangana during last 24 hours. Maximum temperatures were below normal at one or two places," the IMD said in its daily weather report.
It also forecast "light to moderate" rain or thundershowers at isolated places.
Maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius at isolated places, the met department added.
