Yogendra Yadav-led Swaraj India today appealed to all citizens to come together and celebrate 'Sadbhavana Diwas' tomorrow on the occasion of Friday prayers to ensure harmony and brotherhood in the society.
The political outfit said that Yogendra Yadav, its national president, was to visit all places where namaz would be offered, but he has postponed his program in the wake of alleged disruption to namaz by right-wing groups.
"Yogendra Yadav postponed his visit due to ongoing activities of couple of days after dialogues with all representatives of society," Swaraj India leader Anupam told PTI.
"Having words with all representative of society -- Hindu and Muslim -- we have decided to postpone Yogendra Yadav's visit. Yadav and party workers are trying and are talking to all groups to maintain peace and harmony," he said.
Over the last three weeks, right-wing outfits have been trying to "disrupt" Friday prayers in Gurgaon alleging that some people were trying to grab land by offering namaz on public places.
